When you want help with depression, you can think about going to a doctor and getting prescription drugs.  And or you can go to a psychotherapist and get help.  Both of these can be good ideas, and seeing a doctor when you have concerns about depression is a healthy move.  You can get Natural Depression Treatment here.

But are there some natural cures to depression?  Cures that don’t involve drugs or expensive psychotherapy?  Yes.  Often you can cure depression from home.  You can feel better in just days without medication depending on the type of depression you are experiencing.

A first approach that anyone can try at home is a simple dietary change.  This dietary change can cure depression symptoms within two or three days, many times.  And that is to give up white refined sugar.

White sugar causes some common forms of depression in millions of people.  When you eat a candy bar, for example, your blood glucose goes up.  You may feel a burst of energy or a lift for about 30 minutes.  But your body floods your system with insulin to get the excess sugar out of your blood stream.  This causes you to then have low blood sugar within an hour of eating the candy bar.  Find out more Depression Treatment In Days here.

Low blood sugar is a major culprit in many forms of depression.  It causes mood swings and dark feelings of anger, sadness, emptiness, depression.  Spiking between high and low blood sugar several times a day as you eat sweets and drink pop is not a healthy thing for you physically or emotionally.

After years of spiking between high and low blood sugar several times a day, your body chemistry is thrown out of whack.  This has emotional consequences.  You may feel intensely depressed, empty, sad, hopeless at times.  All due to eating refined sugar.

So if you want to try a simple home remedy to depression, give up white sugar for a whole week and see how you feel.  You can use sugar substitutes like stevia or agave nectar to sweeten your foods.

By week’s end you will likely feel more energy, more hope, more overall well-being.  There are more natural depression treatments you can try without drugs or therapy, but this is a good place to begin.  Get more Help With Depression here.

Some types of depression are severe and dysfunctional.  This means you don’t have the energy or willpower to go to work or even get out of bed.  If you are having severe symptoms, see a doctor immediately, there is good help available.  You can get Help With Depression here.

Dysfunctional depression is not the norm.  Common depression symptoms are feeling bad, fatigued, unhappy, perhaps that your life is empty.  But you can still go to work and handle basic chores.   You are probably suffering from some form of “common” depression.

There are several things you can do to cure common depression symptoms, sometimes within 24 to 72 hours.  Some of the cures are nutritional, and some are emotional, and some are physical.

To beat depression, one thing you can do is to make a few simple nutritional changes to your diet.  The first nutritional change to make is to stop consuming refined white sugar.

Refined white sugar is the culprit in many forms of common depression.   Here’s how:  when you eat a candy bar, the sugar shoots your blood sugar levels through the roof.  Your pancreas produces extra insulin, and after 45 minutes or so the insulin clears too much glucose from the blo9od, caysing low blood sugar.  You can learn more about Depression Help In Days here.

Now here’s the surprising fact:  low blood sugar causes many common depression symptoms.  It makes us feel tired and low energy.  It makes us feel irritable and disinterested.  And it can even cause dark mood swings.  Low blood sugar affects the brain and nervous system negatively.

Now, low blood sugar is caused most often by refined white sugar.   Refined white sugar hits the bloodstream with so much glucose that it is like an attack, we overproduce insulin to counter it, and the insulin we produce actually clears too much glucose out of the blood stream, and then we don’t have enough to properly fuel the brain, causing the common symptoms of depression.

So a simple fix for many common depression symptoms is to simply cut out refined white sugar.  Try it for just three days and see how you feel.  You can still have sweets, but sweeten things with stevia, which doesn’t cause insulin to be released.  There’s more nutritional help for depression symptoms, but this should be one good place to start.  Get {Depression Remedies} here.

Depression is often caused biochemically.  This means that people get depressed because their biochemistry is out of whack.  Doctors then prescribe antidepressants to correct the imbalance and patients start to feel better.  Comprehending the biochemistry of depression can be very useful.

Since biochemical imbalances are at the heart of many kinds of depression, it is easy to understand that what you ingest can play a major role in feelings of depression.  What you eat obviously affects your biochemistry. For example, if you eat lots of junk food you start to feel de-energized.  That’s because your brain chemistry is directly affected by what you put into your blood stream!

A significant portion of people looking for depression help can find it by changing one thing.  Refined white sugar can often be a big cause of depression.  Sugar affects your blood sugar levels which affect your brain chemistry.  It messes with the amount of insulin in your blood and ends up causing low blood sugar.  Refined white sugar can actually cause dark, depressive mood swings.  So if you are feeling depressed, sugar could very well be the cause and its absence the cure.

You can check this out easily enough for yourself.  Remove sugar from your diet for a week and see if you notice a change and get immediate depresson help.  I did this simple test and was surprised after just three days!  (It takes a few days for insulin levels to balance out blood sugar levels.)  I had no dark mood swings after the second day.  I felt more energy and good feelings.  I discovered for myself that blood sugar levels affect us emotionally, not just physically.  You can read a copy of the old classic book “Sugar Blues” to discover all the ways that sugar impacts our health negatively.

So even if you don’t have depressive mood swings or feel other depression signs, you can give up refined sugar for just seven days and figure this out for yourself.  If you absolutely can’t envision giving up the white stuff for a week, then you can try a different form of this test that takes only half a day.

For breakfast, eat a couple doughnuts and nothing else.  Don’t eat anything else with them, don’t have coffee or soda or any form of caffeine with them.  Notice how your body feels in about half an hour to an hour.  If you don’t pump yourself up with caffeine, you should notice you feel nicefor about half an hour to 45 minutes, then you should start to feel a sugar coma for the next two hours after that as your blood sugar swings up then down.

Medically, it’s well researched that refined white sugar causes up and down spikes in blood sugar levels.  And, we each deal with sugar differently and respond to it with greater or lesser sensitivity.  But if you want depression help, giving up white sugar for a week is a great place to start.  Your nearest box of doughnuts can provide all the proof you need!

Sugar doesn’t cause all forms of depression, but it is a major cause for many people.  For more on this, including healthy sugar substitutes so you don’t have to give up sweets, get a free course on healing depression naturally here.

To get yourself proper mental health care for feelings of depression, will you need to use anti depressant drugs?  Is that what you must use to deal with symptoms like tiredness or dark mood swings?  Of course, the answer is more complex than a simple yes or no.

You can explore this question in more detail through a free course on depression symptoms help.

The best quick answer is sometimes.  Sometimes drugs will be necessary for the treatment of depression, sometimes they won’t be.  How do you know which sometimes is which?  To start with, you should always check with your doctor.  Describe your symptoms, and see what they say. Here is information on various depression symptoms.

There is plenty of help available now for depression, so you don’t need to suffer from it one day longer than you have already.  Checking with a doctor is easy and helpful.

You want to be careful about taking any prescription medications, because they can have side effects you don’t want.  Anti depressants are no exception.  So if you can avoid taking them or avoid taking them for an extended period it can be helpful.

But there are many forms and depths of depression that will respond best to drug therapy.  Severe depression can be lifted in just a few short days with the right drugs.  Manic depression can also need antidepressants for the fastest relief.

And just because your doctor might recommend anti depressants, it doesn’t mean you will need to continue to take them forever.  So if your doctor recommends drugs, which they often will, you can then ask them for how long they think you might need them?

Further, if they put you on antidepressants, you should ask to also see a therapist or psychiatrist, so you are getting proper evaluation and on going care from a mental health professional rather than just a medical doctor.  They can often help you to deal with depression issues more effectively by combining drug and talk therapy.

And, many forms of depression may need no drugs whatsoever.  If you are feeling down or depressed or having dark mood swings but are still able to function and go to work and take care of business, that is often a good sign that you can use natural remedies to beat depression without drugs.
